John Clarke Trophy Finals - 8th September 2013

The
North Staffs Junior Bowls League held the finals of the John Clarke
Memorial Team knock-out at Florence Tennis & Bowling Club. We are very grateful to the Florence Club for the use of their facilities and the excellent refreshments provided. Thanks also to those who helped with measuring duties on the day. |

The opening games were tight with two 21-20 wins for Bucknall but Tom Proctor had a decisive 21-9 win to better Samantha Shallcross' 21-13 score for Knypersley to set up an all Bucknall final. |

After the 2 opening games, and allowing for the handicap, the teams were separated by justonly 4 points. However in the second series of games, the No 1 team asserted their authority to win comfortably. |
